Tight Lines 2010 - over for another year - a great success!

The committee is pleased to confirm that Tight Lines 2010 has been a resounding success! Part of that success can be attributed to a new high attendance record of over 1000 attendees!

THANKS: The Yeppoon Coast Guard would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to all the sponsors, volunteers, stall workers and especially you, the attending public without whom none of this would be possible. The funds generated from these activities will benefit all who use the waters that are protected by the Yeppoon Coast Guard (QF11) here in Central Queensland.

NEXT YEAR(2011): Don't forget to mark us in your calendar for next year in August. The exact dates are yet to be determined and will be posted as soon as known.

Welcome to the new home of the Yeppoon Coast Guard Tight Lines Fishing Classic. The premier fishing and fund raising event held at Rosslyn Bay in Central Queensland (Yeppoon) every year in August. Funds raised from the annual event are destined for the maintenance and purchase of new equipment and facilities for the local Coast Guard flotilla QF11. Your entry fee will be going towards a great cause and in fact may help to save someone's life through the selfless volunteer work of the Coast Guard. Your entry is needed!

For the first time this year we would like to acknowledge the Queensland Government's contribution through the Queensland Events initiative. The Queensland Government has recognised this event for its great contribution to the community and have given it their blessing. Their assistance is sincerely appreciated.

If you were at the event last year, you'll know that there's no need to enter the actual fishing competition to be in the running for the fantastic random draw prizes. Just buy yourself a ticket, be there when the draws are called, and you're in with a chance!

Please tell your friends about the event and spread the word far and wide. We want to make the Tight Lines Fishing Classic the premier event of its type on the August calendar!
